Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, share, or sell any data of any kind, including but not limited to:

• Personal information (name, email, location)
• Usage analytics or behavioural data
• Crash reports sent to our servers
• Audio recordings or microphone data
• Camera images or video

Device Permissions

DIY Companion requests the following permissions solely to provide app functionality:

Microphone — used in real time to measure ambient sound levels for the Noise Meter tool. Audio is processed locally on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Camera — used only to control the rear camera flash for the Torch / Flashlight tool. No photos or video are captured.

Motion sensors — the accelerometer and magnetometer are used for the Spirit Level and Wall Scanner tools respectively. Motion data is processed locally and never leaves your device.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores only your in-app settings (theme preference, default measurement units, haptic feedback preference) in your device’s local storage using standard iOS mechanisms. This data never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

DIY Companion does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Children

DIY Companion does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
